Monday Street Outreach VolunteeringTimes based on volunteer teams - 3 pm, 5 pm, & 6 pm arrivals.
As a volunteer, you'll help us serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness by weekly preparing and serving warm meals, distributing clothing and survival supplies, and at times offering a listening ear and building relationships. This is a great way to step into action in your community in a tangible way and to get to know people in an environment where you can make a real impact. |
Homefullness Outreach VolunteeringThursdays: 3:45pm-6:30pm (18+ only)
During our Thursday Homefullness Outreaches, we serve a micro-income apartment complex where many neighbors on the streets find their first stable home in a while. We limit the amount and are more selective about the volunteers for this outreach based on the sensitivity to visiting our neighbor's homes, as well as availability to build lasting relationships with the residents. We are looking for 10-20 volunteers (must be 18+ for this opportunity) to join us. |
SUGGESTED CLOTHING WHILE VOLUNTEERING
We try to emphasize honor and dignity in every aspect of our work. By wearing clothing that has appropriate messaging, that is not flashy, short, tight, or revealing- you can help us create an environment of safety and respect. We recommend loose fitting t-shirt, long pants, and closed toed shoes. If you have questions about this, please feel free to email [email protected].
