Suggested Clothing while Serving at a PLN Outreach.
We try to emphasize honor and dignity in every aspect of our work. By wearing clothing that has appropriate messaging, that is not flashy, short, tight, or revealing- you can help us create an environment of safety and respect. If you have questions about this, please feel free to email info@peoplelovingnashville.com.
Homefullness Outreach Volunteers
During our Thursday Homefullness Outreaches we serve a micro-income apartment complex where many friends from the streets find their first stable home in a while.
Thursdays: 4:30pm-6:30pm
We limit the amount and are more selective about the volunteers for this outreach based on the sensitivity to visiting our friends homes, as well as availability to build lasting relationships with the residents.
We are looking for 10-20 volunteers to join us. If you are interested in volunteering with us at this outreach, please email us at alex@peoplelovingnashville.com

MONTHLY PROJECTS
CLOTHING SORTING PARTY - We Daily we are receiving and distributing clothing and supplies. Once a month we organize all donations and our storage spaces. This preparation helps distribution run much smoother!
THE KITCHEN DEEP CLEAN - It is very important we keep our kitchen clean and sanitary! We are constantly cleaning it, but once a month we do a deep clean to make sure every part is scrubbed!
COVID SAFETY PROTOCOL
We continue to monitor Covid-19 and make adjustments for the safety of those we serve and those who come to serve. Please see below for our current response and we ask that you join us in helping protect this community.
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms - fever, chills, coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea or have tested positive for COVID-19; we ask that you not volunteer until you have fully recovered and have received a negative COVID-19 test.
If you develop any symptoms after volunteering with us, please email us immediately and seek testing. We will notify everyone who participated in that particular outreach anonymously and we will ask that group of people to also seek testing and suggest CDC recommendations on quarantine. If there is a known case of positive Covid-19, that entire group of volunteers will be asked to not volunteer for any outreach until they are fully recovered & have been quarantined for the CDC's recommended time frame.
Masks, gloves and often sanitizing of hands are recommended.
We pray that the heart of the precautions is clear. We come to serve and love some of the most vulnerable in our city. We have sought wisdom from professionals in this field to determine our guidelines. Please allow us grace as we do so, we realize that there are many sacrifices our volunteers make for those we serve, and we honor them. We could not be more grateful for this community.
