NEW VOLUNTEERS
  • You must be a former PLN volunteer to sign up for our clothing teams - Men's & Women's or Help Desk. We ask you to NOT sign up for the clothing teams, but instead select one of the other areas to serve - Food Team, Clean Up Team, Coffee Team, or the Community Engagement Team. This will allow you to learn how Monday nights flow and understand the culture we have built while serving our friends.

  • Mandatory New Volunteer Training  is at 5:15 PM at the PLN Headquarters. If you sign up for the Community Engagement Team, you will come to this training first and then head  to War Memorial Plaza to serve.

  • Dinner is not provided for volunteers, please eat before you come.

COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS

We continue to monitor Covid-19 and make adjustments for the safety of those we serve and those who come to serve. Please see below for our current response and we ask that you join us in helping protect this community.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19; we ask that you not volunteer until you have fully recovered and have received a negative COVID-19 test.

If you develop any symptoms after volunteering with us, please email us immediately and seek testing. We will notify everyone who participated in that particular outreach and we will ask that group of people to also seek testing and suggest CDC recommendations on quarantine. If there is a known case of positive Covid-19, that entire group of volunteers will be asked to not volunteer for any outreach until they are fully recovered & have been quarantined for the CDC's recommended time frame.

Masks, gloves and often sanitizing of hands are recommended.

We pray that the heart of the precautions is clear. We come to serve and love some of the most vulnerable in our city. We have sought wisdom from professionals in this field to determine our guidelines. Please allow us grace as we do so, we realize that there are many sacrifices our volunteers make for those we serve, and we honor them. We could not be more grateful for this community. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
