Two Ways To Get Involved
Monday Night
Outreach
Each week, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare and serve warm meals, hand out essential clothing and supplies, and offer simple human connection through conversation and presence.
It’s a powerful way to take tangible action in your city and to experience the joy of making a real difference in someone’s life.
Timeframes vary on teams - 3 pm, 5 pm, & 6 pm arrivals and ending at 8pm.
Thursday Night Outreach
You’ll serve a micro-income apartment complex where many neighbors on the streets find their first stable home in a while.
This is a great next step in the volunteer journey as it allows you to visit our neighbor's homes as well as continue to build lasting relationships with the
residents of this living complex.
Thursdays: Serve times vary between 3:30pm-6:30pm (18+ only)
Monday night Role Descriptions

As a volunteer on the Community Engagement Team, you will be connecting with our friends! Say hello, serve people directly, checking in with the community, offering prayer if appropriate. You may off help tearing down at the end of the night. You will not have a position on the clothing or food team. As needed, you may be asked to jump in to support with other teams.

As a volunteer on the Men’s Clothing Team, you will help set up, distribute clothing, & tear down the men’s clothing area.

As a volunteer on the Women’s Clothing Team, you will help set up, distribute clothing, & tear down the women’s clothing area.

As part of the coffee/refreshment team, serve coffee, snow cones, and other refreshments to our friends.

As a volunteer on the Clean Up Team, you will help make sure the area downtown is completely clean. We like to leave our space cleaner than we found it! You can ask those we are serving if you can take their trash. Enjoy conversations with our friends as we serve. As needed, you may be asked to jump in to support with other teams.

As a volunteer on the Food Team Kitchen Team, you will help cook the food and clean up the kitchen. This group doesn't go downtown. You will meet at our PLN headquarters on Gallatin.

This role involves meeting downtown earlier from 5:30-7pm to help setup different aspects of the outreach experience such as refreshment station, stanchions, tables, bins, etc.

This team role involves arriving between 5-6pm to help direct volunteers to their appropriate parking spots on either side of our outreach area.
